From 2008 to 2018, the team around Pol, and Juliane Wolski especially, ran the exhibition space Grand Palais in Bern. Situated between the Kunsthalle and the historical museum, it showcased contemporary, site-specific, project-based, and process-oriented art.

The publication „A–Z – Ein ABC der Offkultur“ summarises 10 years of running an off-space and addresses topics such as institutionalization, contemporary exhibition practices, forms of collaboration, the art industry, and precarity. The publication follows alphabetically ordered keywords, thus forming a small ABC of thematic fields that were relevant to the exhibition practice at Grand Palais – and at the same time making a statement about the situation of independent art spaces in Bern and Switzerland.
