In 2024, the Museum Franz Gertsch invited the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, Denmark, to showcase a vast number of world-famous masterpieces in Burgdorf. We developed a typography-focused key visual for the exhibition “Louisiana Visits Franz Gertsch. Post-War and Contemporary Art in Dialogue”.
The accompanying exhibition catalogue, published by Hatje Cantz, features a multicoloured hardcover with metallic and matt black hot foil debossing. It mirrors the arrangement of artworks across the museum’s rooms, each separated by colour. Every room is dedicated to a specific theme or era and shows connections between iconic works and those by Franz Gertsch, resulting in a dialogue between them.
