Tokyo Type Directors Club Annual Award 2026: Excellent Work
For the 35th anniversary of the architectural practice Büro B, we designed a publication showcasing all major projects realised between 1990 and 2025. The project IDs, foil-debossed on linen, form a strong visual identity on the cover. The project pages, consisting of project data, descriptive texts, architectural drawings, plans, and photographs, are carefully arranged in a clear, structured layout. Photographs by Florian Spring document the bureau’s workspace and everyday working life in a dedicated photo series, while imagery spanning 35 years frames the content as a visual bracket printed on the endpapers.

Endpaper and first double-page spread documenting everyday life at the architectural studio, studio interiors, model making, construction sites, plans, archive and press materials, as well as informal snapshots of people and moments from the office’s environment.
